Type SK Custom Cine Lenses

Lensworks Rentals is proud to present our Type SK Large format cinema lenses designed and rehoused in house. These lenses are completed and available for rental and are one of the only Vintage options with full frame coverage , fast consistent T stops of T2 or faster and superior close focus capability. The 20mm allows focusing to essentially right up to the front element, making it indispensible for macro or fine closeup work with a wide perspective.

Type SK Prime lenses are based upon vintage 1960s Canon rangefinder lenses with 3 additional wide angles built with custom additional optics via a hybrid designed in house. These lenses are known for their medium contrast, beautiful images and golden lens flares. These lenses are characterized by a ton of wide open center sharpness and resolution as well as low chromatic aberration, which is uncommon for vintage high-speed lenses. The bokeh and fall off produced by these lenses is unique and gives images a textured, three-dimensional appearance that is difficult to replicate with modern lenses. The new housings for these lenses feature 110mm fronts, 330 degree focus rotation, PL mounts, and matching gear positions. Several of the lenses in the set are Lensworks exclusives and are not widely available. We think these are perfect for any project and have been used on many many large commercial and narrative projects world wide!
